Medicare
Burns Drugs accepts most insurances including Medicare Part D plans for Seniors.
For those customers with Medicare Part D plans, which are administered by many different insurance companies the open enrollment period starts November 15th and runs through December 31st of each year. We advise our customers to periodically compare their current plan to all the others. If you need assistance on this we have a person on staff that for a fee can help you with that. Medicare for Home Medical Equipment
This is different from the drug coverage. This falls under your Medicare Part B. In order for Burns to bill Medicare for a piece of equipment we have to follow manditory rule set by Medicare. We will require at the following:

1. A copy of the front and back of your Medicare and Supplemental Cards
2. A written prescription from your doctor with the equipment's description, diagnosis, and length of need.

Sometimes we will require additional information, such as with Power Mobility Equipment you will have to have an examination by your physician and the dicated notes faxed to us. So, please call us in order to insure a smooth and easy purchase for your equipment.
