Medicare for Drug Benefits

Burns Drugs accepts most insurances including Medicare Part D plans for Seniors.

Prescription benefits are covered under Medicare Part D. These plans are administered by many different insurance companies. The open enrollment period starts October 15th and runs through December 7th of each year. We advise our customers to periodically compare their current plan to all the others to find the best fit and value. Medicare for Home Medical Equipment

Home medical equipment is covered under your Medicare Part B, which is different than drug coverage. In order for Burns to bill Medicare for a piece of equipment we have to follow manditory rule set by Medicare. We will require at least the following:

  1. A copy of the front and back of your Medicare and Supplemental Cards
  2. A written prescription from your doctor with the equipment's description, diagnosis, and length of need.

For some items we will require additional information. For example; with Power Mobility Equipment you will have to have an examination by your physician and the dicated notes from this exam must be faxed to us.
